100 years before the founding of Kusamuragakure, the clans of the age were spread out and were almost constantly warring. It was into this world that Baiko Akumu was born. His parents were of the Akumu clan. The Akumu clan was known for its involvement in the afterlife. Whenever an ally clan wanted to pay respects to a fallen comrade, they would head to the Akumu clan for help. They were especially close with the Senju clan. When Baiko was born, his sharp red eyes drew marvel from everyone. They knew that he would do their clan well.
As Baiko grew older, he began to learn the sacred techniques of his clan. The “element” they used was known as Meiton. Baiko became extremely adept at using these techniques. By the time he was five, he mastered most of the basic techniques. His clan began to grow fearful of the other clans in Sakura Country. The Akumu clan felt that if the other clans knew of Baiko, that the other clans would attack them. This caused them to become fearful of Baiko as well. Knowing the strength of Baiko and what he could do if properly trained, they ordered him caged. Unfortunately for Baiko, his parents obliged.
Baiko grew stressed of the occasion and began to plot his way out of this jam. Finding a way out of the cage was easy as he merely burned his way out with corpse candles. He began sneaking around, taking food and supplies for his goals. Stealing the Akumu forbidden techniques scroll, he began to read every inch of the scroll. He learned forbidden techniques and ancient truths that the Akumu clan had hidden away for years. Baiko had become the strongest Akumu to live and he was only a young boy. Using this, he began an uprising on his own clan, summoning a hundred wraiths. This is where the story of Baiko Akumu truly began, the destruction of the Akumu Clan.
He attacked the clan with an army of a hundred wraiths. The charge ended with the slaughter of everyone but his parents and the leader of the clan. Baiko entered the tent where the three were held up. There.....was the epic showdown between Baiko and his parents. The battle lasted what seemed like ages, but in the end, nothing could stop Baiko from his destiny. Baiko challenged the leader to a showdown that lasted two days. At the end, neither had very much chakra left, which seemed like a miracle to see them both drained so much. Baiko made one last move to end the leader's life. Unfortunately, it succeeded. the leader and Baiko both collapsed; Baiko, from exhaustion; and the leader; from death.

He woke up a day or two later when the Senju Clan stumbled upon him, covered in his parents’s blood. They assumed that his parents and the clan were murdered in front of him. They took him in and took care of him like he was part of the clan. He however began to develop a dark manifesting aura around him that seemed to grow with his anger and hatred. Many times he was brought to the head of the Senju Clan and he had no idea of what to do.
When he was about twenty, he took a test to prove his maturity. He passed the first test with ease. During the second test however, a mystery being with two scythes appeared before him. The being explained to Baiko that he, the being, was a reaper and that he had come to give Baiko the chance of a life time. He promised to grant him immortality, however, Baiko would have to give his first son to the reaper to allow the reaper to transform him into a reaper like himself. The reaper helped him finish the second part of the exam and gave him the second scythe that was on his back. He then sealed a wraith within Baiko, granting him immunity to disease and ageless life.
About twenty years before the founding of the village, Baiko met the love of his life, Asura. She had lost most of her memory a while back and could not remember where she came from or what her last name was. The two soon fell in love. The reaper appeared and did the same sealing that he had done to Baiko to Asura. “Remember your promise.” The reaper left with.
About five years later, the couple had a son. The reaper appeared to honor the deal. The couple regretfully gave up their son, knowing what would happen. Luckily, their son was too young to remember the events. For the next fifteen the two lived in relative peace, though they kept mostly to themselves, trying to stay at equal terms with the Clans around them.
As the Villages began to form, they sided themselves with the Senju Clan of Konohagakure. The two endured the attacks on the leaf village from all sides. The two strengthened themselves through training and allied themselves with the Hokage. Since then, they’ve endured and kept to themselves in a discreet part of town.
They have lived a quiet life, trying to avoid the shinobi world and, to Asura’s wish, only get involved when absolutely necessary. This lead to them fighting in no wars and while they fought when things got rough, due to the duo’s abilities, they were able to survive. Throughout the wars and mess, they prevailed, however. Upon the death of the First Hokage, they fled the village, seeing themselves not needed or wanted. They knew the Second Hokage would do them no good. They fled to the Ketsuekigakure, where Baiko used his strength to single handedly take down the village with few casualties. He became the leader of the village, a figure of true power in the village. It was with this power that he brought the Hidden Blood to true brilliance and used this to take advantage when the time came, taking part of the Hidden Leaf for himself and establishing himself as a true power in the world.
From this village, he attacked the leaf four times, each time ending with failure. The fourth time came as Pain entered the village. During this battle, he found himself helping the leaf instead of harming it. He cursed himself for it, but understood why he had done it. After he arrived home, he found his wife, eight months pregnant with their new child. They would name her Karite. Karite grew up, learning of all that had transpired and found herself hating the way her father raised the village. She would flee, shortly after she turned 18.
Baiko became furious at this betrayal and instantly went after her with his beloved Asura with him. Karite made it to Lord Seventh Hokage of the Leaf. Naruto learned of the situation and began to get ready for the war that was to come. As Baiko made it to the leaf, his chakra became immense, even for him. His anger fulled his chakra as he began summoning the nine bijuu skeletons. He then summoned an army of thousands of skeleton. He was ready for war. Naruto, Sasuke, and Karite stood at the gates, ready to take on mighty forces that lay before them, hoping no villagers would be harmed before them. Boruto, now a chunin, also stood in the shadows with Shikamaru, ready to alert to entire shinobi force if the enemy proved to overwhelming. The battle lasted a ten hours, with neither side giving in. Reinforcements from the Sand village also arrived to help. Naruto and Karite finally reached Baiko and they began a fight that would last a good hour. At the end, Karite finally struck down her father and destroyed the remains. Enough so that no dna could ever be extracted from them. Thus ended the tale of the Reaper of the Leaf.
Karite Akumu : - Spoiler:
There isn’t much to say about the late Karite until she had turned eighteen. Before that, she was babied by her father, taught everything yet still not everything. She inherited his immortality from the reaper which gave her ageless life and immunity to diseases and poisons. He kept his secrets to himself as he taught her the tricks of the trade. She kept herself together, learning and stealing the scrolls of her father. She had stolen the last one by the time she was eighteen and stowed them in a backpack. She know she couldn’t stay any longer, watching her father baby her yet treat the village like slaves. She fled to the hidden leaf, running through the village. The villagers noticed her headband and fled in fear, having seen it on the mighty Baiko. She got the Hokage’s office without interruption, since she didn’t attack anyone. However, when she got into the office, she was met with Naruto, Sasuke, and a few ANBU agents who seemed ready for her. She began talking, trying to explain herself. She explained that she was the daughter of the reaper and that she had fled to the leaf. She knew that he would be on her tail and explained the situation to Naruto. While Naruto and Sasuke were hesitant to believe it, Shikamaru and Ino arrived, giving word that she was accurate and that Baiko was readying a giant force nearby. Karite looked to the Hokage, and acknowledged her will to fight against Baiko. Naruto nodded and looked to Sasuke. The three of them left for the gate as they prepared for the worst.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Karite stood at the gates, ready to take on mighty forces that lay before them, hoping no villagers would be harmed before them. Karite made her way back to the Hidden Leaf, having killed her mother and father in the fight. Naruto put his arm around her, trying to console her the best he could. He brought her to Hinata and tried to help the grief. Karite and Hinata spoke for a long time as Himawari and Boruto tried to listen in. The two were shooed away by Naruto and Karite left to stay in the village. She purchased her own house, using funds from her father. She kept to herself mostly, making only on friend in the long time. She eventually found herself a boyfriend. This was about twenty years before the current events of Naruto Legacy. The two of the became lovers and, two years after they became a couple, had a baby. Karite decided to name the baby, Baiko after her father. She hoped he would give the name a better legacy than her father had done. The villagers had grown fearful of her. They knew her powers and they knew of Baiko’s legacy. They began to fear that she would do what Baiko had done. This would bubble until Baiko was about to enter the ninja academy. He was entering at six, having been trained directly from Karite herself. She had packed the backpack filled with scrolls of her clan’s techniques and money that she had saved up as she heard word of something happening. Her husband was standing outside, keeping watch. She heard him drop to the ground as she realized what was happening. She grabbed Baiko after summoning a few wraiths. The wraiths kept the men off her as she fled the hidden leaf with her son. The two of them reached the border between Grass and Stone Country as she turned around. She handed the backpack off to her son and told him to keep running to Iwagakure. As soon as he was gone, she began to summon wraiths to help defend herself. She was never able to summon the skeleton bijuu, but she would use her wraiths to the best of her ability. As the men approached, she set up traps. She was going to be ready for them. They attacked shortly after, using all sorts of jutsu to attack her, she did her best to evade, but she was struck fatally by one of them. She collapsed on that battlefield. She reverse summoned herself to the home of the wraiths, where her body could be put to rest. The wraiths made sure she was taken care of, as she was one of them. She never got a message off to her child.
Baiko, the new death: - Spoiler:
Baiko was born into a period of distrust in the village. Baiko grew up, being trained from pretty much birth by his mother. Baiko grew into his power, learning complex techniques in a very short time. He was almost as skilled as the original Baiko. He trained until he was about six, when he was about to enter the ninja academy. He had seen the discomfort around him and his mother. He knew enough that he was slightly panicked.
The night before he was going to enter the academy, his mother woke him up and began getting him ready. She had already prepped a shinobi outfit for him, similar to his and his grandfather’s style. He got dressed, placed kunai and shuriken into the pouch on his leg and prepped for the long journey. She had a backpack on as she got him. He knew that his father would be making sure they could get out of the village and wasn’t expecting to see him until much later. Karite got him out of the house and lead him into the forest. The two of them reached the border between Grass and Stone Country as his mother turned around. She explained to him everything that was happening at the time. He took the backpack and fled off towards Iwagakure. He kept going, hoping that he would at least hear back from his mother soon.
He reached Iwa’s gates and began walking through the village. He got lost quickly as he kept walking through the village. He was young, but skilled enough to get out of trouble. He eventually found his way to the Tsuchikage’s office, where he began to explain the ordeal. The Tsuchikage heard the young one out and decided to help him. The Tsuchikage helped purchase a house for the young lad, seeing that he had more money than you would ever expect. He was enrolled in the ninja academy in the village to begin his training in the Iwa principles. He was a model student, though a little secluded. He made his way through without problems and joined a team. The team never fought much and just sort of ignored Baiko. Baiko would help them and they appreciated him but they could never get him out of his shell. Even as he went through the chunin and then jounin exams, he still seemed very quiet and reserved. He just became jounin and is still getting into the niche of the life. He will be assigned a team shortly and he hopes to do well.
